Discussion
can anyone help me - i have a 2.5 gto 2001 and want to upgrade the exhaust sytem - more power + better noise - i know i will probably need fuel pump + rolling road tune etc. i have contacted roush who have said they cannot supply a system for the 2.5 model! i am based in bristol and was thinking of using williams lotus dealer who use to service noble.
can someone advise me on where i can get exhaust/roll road tune etc. in my area or any area! and are williams bristol good at dealing with nobles!

I have a Roush exhaust on my 2.5. It was fitted by them last year, and i believe its the only 2.5 they've done. It's actually a 3.0 system with custom made front pipes by Piper (who make the Roush exhausts). Call Piper, get hold of the project guy who dealt with my job. Confirm if your car went to Roush that they could make a pair of front pipes (i think they made a pair of jigs), then call Roush again. Speak to Trevor, i'm sure he'll remember me can someone advise me on where i can get exhaust/roll road tune etc. in my area or any area! and are williams bristol good at dealing with nobles!

Alternativly, it's possible my front pipes will be for sale when i've fitted my M400 engine later this Spring.
You could visit Ray West in Thruxton - he fitted one of the first Roush exhausts to my car when I had it (it was a 3 Litre) but he has a connection with a company called Torque Technique who make racing exhausts etc. so I'm sure they could make up some front pipes if you get hold of the rest of the exhaust + Ray has a rolling road etc. and Know's Trevor.
You could always go to Haywood & Scott, you'll almost certainly get the same performance gains (subject to other stuff, poss pump + remap?) as a Roush system and as they make the exhaust bespoke you probably won't have to wait as long for it.
Others have had these fitted with good results.

Urban Racing over in Warrington are currently making a full system for my 3. it uses the same cans as Rouch and is an almost an identical copy to the Rouch system but for 1/2 the cost. They are also a Pro Alloy dealer so I'm having the intercooler and a few other goodies fitted at the same time. Regards Richie

Best to speak to dave@Urban-racing, he will be looking for around £1300 fitted inc rolling road session. The cats are standard as it seams that very little gain would be seen in changing them. I am sure someone will be along in a while with different idea's. Let me know if you require any further information!

Is it ceramic coated and did it give you any gains?

why get all excited about ceramic coating? why not just spend a few quid on heat wrap and wrap the complete exhaust?
It was just a question to gauge the price of the exhaust. Heat wrap would be the way I go but the exhaust at 1300 if it inc ceramice would have meant it was actualy going to cost 1-1.1k which would have sounded even better.

Yes. They don't include remapping/rolling road in their product. I was thinking about taking the car to JNM to do a stage 3 or 4 upgrade (anybody know the rough cost of stage 4 as they don't publish it) - is it better to have a non-standard exhaust before doing this, or after, or does it matter?
