Alternator /Aux belt

Does anyone have a part no. for this belt, is it an "off the shelf" item.

not sure on the part number but from what i remember, mine is made by motorcraft. You can pick them up very easily

6PK 1705 (6 ribs 1705 long)

Have just enquired about this at the local motor factors, they are quoting a slightly different belt length for that part number, 1700 instead of 1705, will this fit ok.
The other one was 1718 in length.

i use 1700mm 6 rib on my m400, which fits fine. if it's slightly tighter then you won't get any belt squeal as happens if loose

You pass it through all the loops on your trousers, then do up the buckle.

route the new belt around the various pulleys, until the last bit is by the tensioner.

the tensioner is spring loaded and sets the tension automatically

the adjustor has a 3/8 square hole in it, put a ratchet or strong arm in here and pull the adjust round against its spring and slip the belt over. release the tensioner.

start engine and make sure belt runs true
