Does anyone know about this - apparently there will be 6 M12s (including some from the factory) there and professional drivers will be available to take people around?!

This is the second one this year, always the fastest selling Autocar/Palmersport track day.

Factory normal come along with a couple of cars, for the June one Lee came with the 400+ BHP GTO3 and an LSD equipped GTO3. It a good evening session although a little expensive compared to other track days, but still worth going.

I'll be there.

I called the organisers - as I don't yet own a Noble (or have anything I'd like to take on track) there seems little point in attending - they want £25 for spectating - you get the BBQ but you cannot get into the pits so what's the point! Enjoy yourselves - grrr!

They say you can't get into the pits, but trust me - you can.......

Rubbish, all the ones I've been to they have let everybody (drivers and spectators) mingle around the pit area, and passenger! And it's open pit-lane, not timed sessions like they normally advertise!

It's on the 30th of this month (it's sold out in terms of participation btw). I'll be there as a spectator, look foward to seeing everybody then.

do you have to pay the 25 pounds spectator fee prior to turning up or canyou pay on the day?
On the lap times all i was hinted at was that they were interesting.

AFAIK you need to pay it in advance, but I am sure they won't turn your money away on the day.

Just make sure you pop into one of the cars as they go over to the track - anyone is more than welcome to passenger in mine.

[Remember if you are going to blag some rides you'll need a helmet]

I spoke to Jan at Palmersport this morning. She said that it's 1 spectator per driver (you can't just attend as an "independant" spectator as it were) and you definitely won't be allowed out of the observation area (apart from the BBQ) . She did however say that there will be some more driver places released over the next few days and suggested to keep checking the website (www.palmersport.com/autocar) as the "0" currently displayed for the Noble trackday will change to "a number".
I'm going to resist taking my car as it's not been fitted with the baffled sump and I know I'll get carried away and end up with a siezed motor .

Joust - if you're "spectatorless" I'd like to come as your passenger if that's OK.

They won't tell you different for insurance reasons....

Sure - just email me your name and what car you will be coming in and I'll pay the fee for you and book you in - you can settle up on the day with me.

P.S. If anyone else wants to come you can email me as well - I've got a friend coming and he won't have a passenger either.

Heard the factory will be bringing three cars to the event - two 3Rs, with slippy diffs and 6-spd boxes, and a stock GTO-3 with a 5-spd box. Apparently, Sturgess - the Noble dealers from Leicester - will also be offering their support. Think the 400bhp M12 being at Bedford is a work of fiction, though...

The factory development car was at the last Autocar day running 385bhp according to the Noble guys. It used new Cams and slightly different turbos. So a creep up to 400bhp sounds feasable....................
