Finally got the call i have been waiting for - "the car is ready to pick up"
cant wait as i have been without the noble for about 5 weeks now. it went in to get diagnosed for excessive oil consumption, turns out it was the piston rings and they were a right bugger to get hold of, all sorted now though. whilst it was in pieces though took the opportunity to get some goodies added - Roush full de-cat exhaust and fuel pump upgrade, new set of Yoko's all round and new pads all round.
will now be able to take the car to get the get intercooler and hard pipes done.
its going to be very difficult taking it easy for the first 500 - 1000 miles on the new engine!

in what way?quote]
your product had broken and you had to spend money restoring it to it's original spec. thats the "bad" money, "bad" because having spent it you are, theoretically, in the place you were before it broke.
before spending "good" money (trying to improve upon the original design spec) I'd want to be sure the product was working properly after the first fix
