Ordering 3R / Any advice

Hi All,
Going to order 3R tomorrow and hand over booking deposit. Anyone any advice on the ordering process? Do's, Dont's etc.
Cheers,
Alan
Alan, basically the only thing that will delay you is not knowing your spec. (colours inside and out, and any options). If you already know this then I'd say that paying your first deposit and the second one together will speed you along!
It took me longer because I wasn't quite sure what I wanted and a trip to the factory (plus lot's of useful hints and tips on this site) helped a lot.
What colour will you go for?
At the factory the most popular was Titanium. The light/dark blues are also stunning. The Green of the Mole Valley and Billywiz's cars looks good as well.
IMO in the flesh the black is simply fantastic giving a really manacing look to them - but a nightmare to keep clean and probably not best when they've picked up some stone chips.

Gush . . . Ordering through factory . No dealer in Ireland yet.
Amg / Goodlife . . . Your right on the spec. Im thinking dark colour outside (black / blue). The inside Im thinking cream.
Hmmm not sure about cream with either of those - cream goes with Greens and reds...
Blue - blue/grey, black/grey two-tone?
Black - grey/grey or Black/Red two-tone?
I'm more conservative though - always thinking of the resale value!

But then I'm biased! (look at my profile )
And speaking of interior colour schemes, I changed my order at the weekend to the R after seeing MV's new car on Sat. Those wheels and the new front end really do make a big difference to the look of the car.
So the problem now is, I know I want the car in Titanium, and I am pretty sure that I want the leather in black / light grey - black on the edge of the seats, light grey down the middle / dash / steering wheel. I am not absolutely 100% positive on this choice though. What have other people that have gone for Titanium chosen for interior colour? I don't want to go for, as Charles at MV put it, a 'Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat' look, so thought the black / grey to be a good conservative choice.
To be frank, I didn't really care much for the leather interior (the tan one in the MV R looked awful), however feel it would devalue the car if I went for Alcantara. Ho hum
So what are the common choices people are going for?
Regards
Eric

Amg . . . Grey is so conservative. At the factory I thought the grey and black was just to tacky.
...just a thought - I've gone for mid blue and mid grey leather myself.
ek993, I thought MV's tan interior on their green 3R demo was the B***ocks - lucky we all have different tastes, eh!
hi guys, just out of interest, if u were to put the first deposit down today for a 3r, when would you b expected to pay the 2nd part of the deposit... this is assuming u know exactly what spec u require today....
obviously i want to pay the 2nd part of the deposit as late as possible seeing as i prob wouldnt see the car till jan 04.

Depends what dealer you order through, they all seem to vary. I ordered my 3R (no.29)back in March and paid £1500 +VAT deposit but have paid nothing since even though the car is due in a few weeks!
