Tunnel mod, stops heat in the tunnel reduces air pressure in the cabin and helps cool the front turbo.

You have four hoses going from the front ducts to the heater, remove one each side from the heater box and blank off, make two 63mm holes in the plate at the end of the tunnel and poke the hoses in, hold with tiewraps, job done easysmile

No it's not, as Adrian says the pressure reduces in the cabin so if you open the window it just draws IN hot air from the radiators!!!

I did the tunnel mod with just one duct. It is enough to cure the problem!
There are two methods of doing this mod, if you have an access ramp you can remove the undertray from the front and gain access to the tunnel cover through chassis. cut hole in cover, rivet hose flange to cover, attach hose with clip attach other end to front air intake, put a blanking cover on a (now redundant) heater plenum intake.
The other way is to remove the heater plenum box from under the clam to gain access from above.
Both methods are a bit of a PITA but if you want a cool cabin that's the way to go.
of course you could always switch the air con on hehe

I was simply asking for some advise on both cabin cooling and engine bay cooling, not after a fight
