Went to the Factory today and was overwhelmed by the friendlyness and attitudide of every person I met. It's not just Lee that delivers a fantasitic customer focussed experience. The assembled Noble factory team all radiate the same customer attentiveness. Well Done chaps!

Some pictures are available to peruse. They can be seen here (Click the picture to expand)

Andy - sorry we didn't meet up, I had to leave just after 3.00pm. Was that you pulling up in the Boxter as I left?

Billywiz - Got a few shots of your car in build, engine hanging out with wires like spaghetti everywhere.

mb1, tomahawk - I think your cars are in the pictures. They are easily seen as nearly all others there were Titanium! There were two Portofino Blue cars, one with a roof aerial, one without. Snapped them both but the roof-aerialed car is clearer.

PTM - Just couldn't find car 15 as the recent arrivals were too tightly packed together to read the build number tags. You can be assured yours is one of the ones in these pictures, but I'm not sure which it is!

Mine is R27, luckily at the front of the line so very easy to take snaps of. Unluckily, being at the front of the line it's also easiest to nick bits off when building other cars! I'm assured the parts will be replaced before it leaves the factory.

Notice in the dashboard picture you will see the Turbo Off switch. This is fitted in SA, but removed/disconnected at build time. Until Lee is happy with this feature, the button will bot serve a purpose. I was told that if the Turbo Off feature makes production, all the required wiring etc is therefore available to connect the switch during routine servicing.

Also asked about performance upgrades. Like the Turbo Off button, these are not going to be announced or available until Lee is completely happy with them. Expect at least a couple of options taking the standard 344bhp up to 360ish and 380ish, but no dates or costs as yet.

It has been the finest day so far in 2003. Just made the wait that little bit easier now I've seen MY car in the flesh.

Goodlife - Many Thanks for trying to find my car - at least i know it is in there somewhere.

The interior color combination of yours looks brilliant. What colours did you go for? Mine is GP21 and GP42 ( Grampian Hide)

Goodlife,

Nice pictures. Question, picture number 4, was that a yellow GTC/GTS in the background?

Did you get a close look at it?

I totally agree Googlife with your comments on the staff at Noble. I arrived (wasnt me in the Boxter, didnt arrive til 4.15) and from that moment was treated brilliantly. Thanks to everyone at Noble if your watching.

Oh my GO ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! ! ! ! !. I never knew it was possibly to go around corners that fast. The car is unbelievable and that word "unbelievable" really does it justice. It was more than I thought it would be. All those who told me Id buy it if I drove it are right.

Alan

PS: The Black 3R just in the door was beauthiful whoever owns it. Great leather in side.

That would be a yellow M10. Did a double-take when it drove in, as like you I thought it was the GTC for a second.

Alan - what are you going for then, and which car did you take out?

BTW - the black one was the new demonstrator for Nick Whale. I really like that colour in the flesh and it suits the car well. It'll be a bugger to keep clean though.

Thanks a lot Goodlife for the pictures. Now, I have to go to the factory next week to see it in the flesh.

Did you get an approximate delivery time for yours ?

Any update on the 6-speeder ?

Cheers,

MB

mb1

6-speed boxes are all delivered and OK. No problems.

They are building 4 cars a week, just finished car 4, so mine (27) should be ready in about 5 weeks time.

Make sure you take your camera and post some pictures.

Did you get a look at the new 3R wheels that someone posted details about on this site a few weeks ago?

Look any good?

The wheels look excellent. The spokes are pretty thin. There is a good view of it on the Mole Valley car (picture D1).

Standard colour is Silver. Don't discuss the various options of wheel colour so don't know, sorry.

The "Turbo Off" button sounds intruiging. Is this an economy thing or something?

(If this has been discussed elsewhere can someone give me a link please?)

It's has been discussed elsewhere, but I can't find it now. IIRC it's to lower the power to the wheels for pottering around in the wet. Apparently the wet can be interesting if the boost kicks in half way through a corner.

Sounds like a sensible idea, and not just for the wet. The ability to "turn it down a bit" when just pootling sounds very useful from both a safety and economy point of view.

Great pics Goodlife , many thanks. They all look sensational , the wheels are stunning and the wait is going to be bad news. My nethers, however, are definitely starting to tingle.
