The M600, due next April, is a compact and extremely quick mid engined two seater. It has carbonfibre body over a spaceframe chassis and all-independant , unequal length wishbone suspension. Noble's target weight for the car is 1000kgs.
The car uses a body similar to the M14 concept shown 2 years ago. Its powered by a twin-turbo 650bhp version of volvo's 4.4 V8, prapared in the UK. "Trust me," Noble told Autocar, "This will be the real horsepower".
The resulting power to weight ratio and plentiful torque should yield an effortless 200mph+ top speed and acceleration times not far short of a Bugatti Veyron!
The M600 will have a competition roll cage, but will be trimmed and equipped as an ultra fast road going GT car.
The M15C (C stands for competition) will be launched about 6 months later. Though it can be registered, it is aimed at owners who prefer trackdays and oughtright racing.
It will use the squarer more track-influenced M15 body over an adapted M600 chassis, suspension and powertrain. The cabin has a full FIA roll cage.
Noble plans to concentrate on UK buyers, selling through the existing dealer network.

Sounds fabulous but also familiar - carbon body on a space frame with built in roll cage. 650 bhp, 100K and 50 a year - clearly in a different league to us lowly old M12 owners. Interesting choice of engine, I thought it would be a USA V8. I wish him well but its way out of my territory.

What does that mean for those with a deposit? Do they get something for £75K or do they have to find another £25K? I assume the deposits are still refundable?joust said:

Perhaps there's a dense cloud of smug preventing him from seeing the keyboard properly.
Be interesting to see how many punters he has for a 100k track car with no racing provenance. I know quite a lot of chaps with track cars at that type of price and I can't think of one who'd buy it.

I think it sounds brilliant.
Sub-3-second 0-60 and 200mph+.
Much more than the M15 shown on TG offered IMO (M400 was quicker round the track for a start). Nobody can say this is a half-hearted effort to get into the big boys group, which could have been levelled at the M14/15. Plus it's still in the "Oh, Noble. What's that then?" category which I like about a car. Nice to be different.

Right now even a Mosler would make a more rational purchase
Of course if he races these things and wins with them and they show reliability, I'm sure he can build a market. Presumably with Dyson behind him that may be the plan.Not entirely sure why they went Volvo though, not exactly a name that stirs the soul of sports car owners! A step down from Ford for me!

That'll be Aston that last won Le Mans in 1959, Ferrari 1965 and Porsche 1998. Apart from Porsche this muppet is hanging on to 40+ year old victories to prove his point!For FFS Ford won Le Mans 15 years later than Ferrari have ever done, so clearly we should all be driving Focis.
Jaguar won even later, that'll be 1990, then Maza (MX-5 for Mr PF then!), and even our beloved Peugeot won with what is now named as an MPV just 15 years ago.
And given the latest run, we should all be driving Audi A4 diesels
