My coolant is pretty low and needs topping up. I read somewhere that combining two different makes of coolant can cause it all to coagulate. Am I worrying about nothing or should I flush the whole lot first? If it needs a flush, how do I do it?
I asked the factory last time I was there for some of their coolant. Turns out they don't sell anything special, just suggested some mixable normal stuff mixed 50/50. I ended up putting halfords stuff in, seems to have been ok. Rob.
I think you need MEG type fluid (Mono-ethylene glycol) I believe. If you mix the two types they do indeed coagulate and can block the system (what clever clogs thought of making two types that don't mix?).
