T28 water inlet/outlet thread sizes

Took the turbos off my M400 engine today.

Was expecting the water inlet and outlet banjos to be the same size - M14 x 1.5.

But on each turbo i found one M14, and the other M16.

Why, when every other T series turbo i've seen has both M14....
