Going to respray my car, as after 8 years of abuse it's starting to look a bit tatty.

Thinking of going for the full Gulf LeMans colour scheme, should be fun for next years LeMans :-)

Anybody know a good body shop near reading ?

Thats who I was going to suggest. They did my elise and they have done lots of porckers also.

My only issue was the lotus badge they put on was plastic and not the original metal one.

Jools, Gary is trying to get hold of you..

I got a quote off these guys to do work on mine and it was about £5000 whereas Plans Motorsport got their specialist guy to do it all for £1200.

£1200 for the whole car seems incredibly cheap! What was the quality like and do you know who Plans used for the job?

Sorry I can see how that was read like that. It wasn't for the whole car it was for lower skirt areas after a trip in the gravel. Plans use a company round the corner for their workshops on the Top Gear test track.

Just had a chat with them, top blokes. They are just around the corner from me, and the manager says he's seen my car as he walks his dogs down by my house ! Spooky !

So, looks like I'll be getting it done in gulf racing colours, should be louder than jenks car when it's finished !!!!!

Err, no it's NOT gray. It's Lotus gunmetal, actually :-) It used to be an option, but after a few people saw mine it became a standar d colour..... and I had to pay an extra 2K too !

I just fancy a change, I've always thought the M12 would look good in a race car type livery. It'll turn some heads at LeMans next year I recon !

Hey Jools it was still only an option when I got mine. Mind you I remember being told 'it's a very rare colour there are only about 4 in that colour around' laugh Mind it does look stunning in that colour IMHO of course!!

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm looking to do. Might put a bit more orange down the side, we'll have to see.

Spoke to Craig, and he's cool. BTW just for your information, Camberly is not near Reading..... rolleyes
Will be picking up the sats over the weekend, so no problems there mate ! No hair pulling or anything !
