Last night after a great night out had a little mishap. fuel cap key snapped off in my hand.
I think i have a spare at home, and i have a 3 digit number on the one i have. Is it possible to get a replacement or get one cut in town?

i guess you should try getting a key cut first

worst case you will have to buy a new cap - you can try Demon Tweaks

It's fairly standard, assuming you snapped it in your hand and not in the cap (but then if you had a good night I hope you weren't near your car) then just take it into a key cutters.

Believe it or not my night out didnt involve getting blotto, but enjoying the company of some peops at the Ace Cafe last night and driving a 360 Spider.
The lock has been getting a little stiff for a while and lack of patience made me snap it like a dullard.

The key was getting very hard to turn in my cap a couple of years ago. Stripping it down is not difficult, I cleaned the inside with some abrasive paper, coated the inisde where the barrel turns with vaseline, re-assembled made a world of difference. I think from things I have seen on here the caps are prone to corroding on the inside by the barrel but at about £70.00 for a new cap that made me sort mine instead of just getting another one.

Well the key cutters are proving useless. Got a Timpson(?) to order 3 blanks in, and if that fails i will have to send the broken key off to have a special blank made. Will wiki the info once i know what the blank is.
