Just coming up for renewal and although I have protected no claims my recent record (cough) is, to say the least, a tad tarnished!

They have loaded me to the tune of an additional £500. Anyone know who are the favorites at the moment?

Thanks for any help.

Cheers Carl

A Plan. Cheapest after a bit of prompting.

My record is also heavily tarnished (£550 and 5 pts and £60 and 3 pts).

Greenlight was good for me as they cover for track days! But A-Plan is also very good.

I was impressed with A Plan as you get to speak to real people with a sense of humour who care!

Agree, my renewal went up as I moved back full time to London, MSN gave me a cheaper quote, spoke to A-plan and they managed to get it for the same price, £600 in London, parked on drive, one fault accident 2 years ago(different car) all mods listed(exhaust, intercooler, nitrons, etc)
Very happy with their service and knowledge. (only down side..no track day cover, but I dont do any so not a problem.)

Best for me was Haggerty...beat everyone else by miles including A-plan (well by £££'s really - several hundred!).

Also, I understand that A-plan don't provide track cover

Thanks guys - I've emailed A Plan and Green Light. Can't seem to find a contact mail or phone for Haggerty. Anyone got details please?

Thanx Carl

And I got the opposite impression. Gave them all my details..."I'll phone you back within an hour". Still waiting * months later frown

I have gone with A-PLAN this year. They beat every one by far when getting a quote and didn't load me up for my mods.

I'm 28 and pay £900ish with 6000 mile limit.

The cheapest aren't always the best - check out the Companies history on paying out after an accident, freedom to choose where the car is repaired etc.....

Haggerty's details:-

Underwritten by Allianz Insurance Plc

Based at Silverstone (not that that guarantees anything :smilesmile

08700 420220

Fortunately I havn't had to find out about their post-accident service level, but they are a specialist classic car insurer and IIRC I think you have freedom to choose the repair centre.
