Well I'm not sure what it's going to sound like yet!
the amount of timeand money I have spent so far is:
Parts:
£30 2.5" Triangular flange from Factory
£19.20 for 2X 90' 2.5" bends
£12.56 for 1M 2.5" straight pipe.
£47.74 for 2.5" Slim silencer
£24.04 for 2X 90' 3" bends
£14.00 for 1M 3" straight pipe.
£63.50 for 2X 70X90 oval Stainless tail pipes.
£30.00 for various clamps and mounts
£150.00 approx for welding.
Total 391.04 so far although:
I have spent a good 12 hours or so messing about sand cutting and filing etc. Plus I had to machine a solid piece of steel on my fathers lathe in order to convert the end of the silencer 2.5" pipe into 3" in a very short space the step pipe from jetex took up too much space. I will ask the chap who has done the welding whether he could do it again without a car! It's being done on the IW and costs around £50 for a weekend return on the car ferry.

Hopefully - certainly lighter! and should be more free flowing....

Oh I forgot have to add some exhaust paint to the bill as well - can't hav it rusting! - If it works a treat I might consider having the whole thing made in stainless steel.

Well,
just a quick note - it's certain louder but not as loud as I expected seems more free flowing - I think alot of the noise is left behind the car so you can't hear it! here are some pics - not very good I'm afraid - plus the pipies need a bit of adjusting :
