noble drift school to open soon

hi setting up a drift school and am very keen to get some technical data re what model will work best .is the vehicle suited for this /what mods would be recommended /where can i go to find out/ .... this is a genuine enquiry not a dream if the vehicle can be made reliable and useable ie. an averafge driver with expert tuition could quickly grt the hang of balancing the car in a drift 2nd/3rd gear stuff. i would really appreciate feedback.regards.

I would have thought that a front engined car is more stable in a drift .....

If you are setting up a drift school shouldn't you know the answer to all these questions already instead of asking them ?

they're not great for this IMHO. As mentioned, being mid engined isn't really perfect for drifting. There's also the fact that you'll almost certainly break it fairly often ! - Compared tot he usual drift favourites parts would also be an expensive nightmare. Especially for a commercial operation.

Err no is the simple answer probably the worst car for learning in & drifting in general, no proper diff (2 way lsd), wrong weight balance, no steering lock, clutches that would'nt take drift use.

If you'd like some advice please drop me an email, been there done that, written plenty all about it too & have first hand experience running drift schools

bit of an expensive car to let people learn to drift in! why not try looking at nissan, think it is something like the 200sx which is really popular and cheap to buy,

wait better idea, 2.8l capri, non stop drift action!

It took me about 3-4 trackdays practice before I mastered the "Nidell Drift", I'm still only able to hold it for about 300 meters though.

Much easier in a setup Caterham. (maybe a fair bit cheaper too Sherlock!)

You don't want to be drifting 4wd cars. I had an EVO6 so I know you can, but the bills soon mount up. Like said above, 200sx and alike are the best tool for the job.

Whilst they can drift the lock and the amount of times you'd brake it would be ridiculous. Also you'd find no customers at what you'd have to charge.

Their must be a reason that Nissan 200's are so popular for drifting, the right bias, mechanicaly simple and cheap.

300 meters in the caterham at Silverstone drift school. Thant was a great fun day out



Manage about 50 yards in the Noble, but its not a cheap hobby!

I think it's an art. You have got to respect the control a real expert has over the car. The kings of drifting still reside in Japan though and I'd love to go and visit.
