Gear Linkages again!

I've been doing a bit of research on the gearchange thing.
It would seem that there is a fix for this but it might only suit race/trackday applications.
First you replace the internals of the MTX-75 5-speed or Getrag 6-speed box with dog-engagement gear kit. Then you fit electro-mechanical actuators and a sequential gear lever.
I guess it would also be possible to do away with the lever and replace it with steering wheel paddle-shifters too.
Has anyone had this mod done or investigated the full detail/cost?

I got about half way through properly looking at this while I had the engine out. These guys among a few others do shifter sytems to shift a sequential box.
As you mentioned, I decided i'd end up with a car that was all but undriveable anywhere other than the track and gave up !
Changing the box internals it a better idea than mine, ... which was to buy a new sequential box. The problem there is you then need new engine mounts, so if your going to those lengths, why not spin the engine..... £££££££'s follow !
