having probs with electrics.

i have no ignition lights or indicator light on centre consol (car starts as normal) also the dials at the speedo light up but none of them move and im only getting sidelights when switching the lights on has anyone had any or all these problems ? and if so any advice on fixing it? iv checked the fuses that i can see and they are o.k

have you checked the fuses under the rear clam and in the passenger footwell ?

None of my dashboard lights were working and the speedo/rev counter etc died too. It was the fuse on the top row that controls all these. Can't remember exactly but I think it's the fourth from the right, top row. I'd double check it.

My car started fine with this problem but I have a feeling that the alternator is also fused on that one (might be talking bollox). Only reason I say this is that for a start the hand book has "Alt. Ign." text under that fuse, and also I ran the battery down by leaving the keys (set to on obviously ) in it for 3 days or so but the battery failed to spring back to life after getting a charge from wifeys car. Either the battery was completely shagged or the alternator was not running to give the battery some charge. Replaced fuse and had no problems since.
