East London OPC apparently have a tasty GT2 in stock. If you are tempted give me a shout to make the introduction as it will get us both a set of tickets to the festival of speed comp'd by Porsche, which frankly is the only way to do it!
A GT2 will never be as good as a GT3 RS on track (n.b. I'm not talking about speed), but as a monster power road car which is still fun on track you'll love it.

I was thinking along the lines of a GT3 earlier this year, Dan was kind enough to take me out in his RS at bedford, very impressed. Also had some very fair comments about the porker and the pro's and cons compared to the Noble.
I made the choice to stick with the Noble mainly because I am buying another house at the moment and couldn't justify the extra £20K or so to change to the GT3. If I wasn't buying the house I would have changed...
As for a GT2 or GT3...I would go with the GT3, as the 2 is £20k more and in the real world is probably only as quick as a GT3, plus prices for the GT3 seem to be firmer. Better buy in the long term.

GT3RS, no turbos
You've neglected the superior handling of the GT3, the lighter weight, the power delivery, the higher red line, the better exhaust note etc. etc.
Alex + Martin, I've finally found out why my gear shifting has to be reasonably slow in my GT3. It's got a knackered clutch. Had a drive of someone elses its completely different and much much easier+quicker. What's gutting is that my car has been like that since I bought it with 5k on the clock yet my likelihood of being covered under warranty is very very slim.

I faced a similar dilemma of where to go following on from a GTO3 and then an M400. I was very tempted by the 997 GT3RS, and I suspect I would still have a pang of jealousy if I saw one today.
Not sure how easy it would be to organise, but at the level of expenditure you are talking about, I think I'd want to drive them back to back to decide. Last time round the RS was an ideal balance of power to chassis and the GT2 was reputedly a bit more balanced to power. Never been in a 996 GT2, but the 996 GT3RS I went in was an extremely impressive car, surprisingly quick even after the M400.
Not the worst decision in the world to be having to make me thinks!
