ok first day in the Noble on Monday - and as its a bit (!) quicker than what I've previously tracked (and more expensive) I'm keen to do what I can to minimise premature wear or risk of damage.

Proper warmup and cooldown laps are obvious enough, as are care with the brakes to ensure even cooling. Obviously smooth (good) driving helps...

but what else - I guess I should keep sessions to <20 minutes, I should allow the car to cool between sessions, etc; but is it worth opening the clams so it can cool more rapidly? - or is 8 x heat/cool/heat cycles likely to cause more damage?

Not really sure how far I can push it, and methinks mistakes will be expensive wink

thanks

I'd recommend 3-5 minutes at engine idle (tickover) as part of cool down procedure to help the turbos cool off a bit and minimize oil coking. IMO it's a good idea to open the rear clam during cool down both to check things out and help cool the IC.

Not much to add to your already excellent observations.

Open the clams when stopped and that is about it.

As far as pushing the car, if you've driven rear wheel drive cars quickly on a track before you shouldn't have a problem with the Noble. The car is benign and quite adjustable on the limit, just build up your pace slowly to get used to the higher speeds! driving

Thanks guys, much appreciated smile. Its at Silverstone Southern on Monday,

Last car was an RX-8, which I'd highly recommend as a sporty daily drive but definitely tame in comparison to the Noble,

I'll try and post some photys Monday night smile

Thanks again
