My M400 is desperatly in need of a new pair of rear tyres (1st MOT looming), I've seen several discussions about the various options but unless there is a really good reason to change (then have to be all 4 of course) I would like to get a pair of Corsa replacements. Tried My Tyres and Black Circle with no luck (they list Corsa avalability but not the assymetric ones for the Noble). Does anyone definately know if these tyres are still in production? Best options if not? In terms of the type of driving I do, I drive the car purely for fun (don't we all?), and it gets pushed reasonably hard over the peak district roads and does the occasional track day. Hope one of you can help

i have the same problem mine needs two fronts or will do for the mot in december Kerridges has two at £517 fitted and they seem to be
confident that they can get the tyres.
Iam also looking at changing
to a better rain tyre with this english weather the corsa is great in the dry but not so goond in the wet but like you i dont know which ones to go with.

I have just covered my first 1000 miles on Toyo R888's. These are running on my 3R but have been really impressed with them over the standard S03's. I have run them at various pressures but the recommended seem to be the best down the local country roads, but feel just as good on the motorway too.
So much grip over the S03's, I feel a lot more confident in the car.
However, I only drive the car on dry days but have been caught out with the odd shower over the past couple of weeks and they have been fine taking it easy... although I get the impression they wouldn't do you much good if you hit standing water.
Any how - just my 2p's worth

Thanks for the comments. The problem is that the 3R and the M400 are set up differently, ie they were each set up for their specific tyres. Comments on other tyres fitted to a 3R are appreciated (and certainly useful to 3R owners) but I really need some advice from the M400 drivers on the best way to go. Might give the factory a call, they might not be able to service the cars but I suppose they should know what tyres to put on them!!!

in direct comparison to corsas:
- Dry grip at least equal to corsas
- feel as good as corsas at the limit
- wet grip a bit better, also more stable with standing water but still much care needed
- Wear rate seems lower
- road noise much worse, a good hum audible up to about 30 mph then u don't notice it
As with any tyre comparisons these comments are really subjective but that's my experience. If you don't mind the road noise, save some money and fit the Toyos. I will be replacing mine with another set. HTH

Thanks a lot for that, obviously we're all going to have to change when the Corsa supply completely dries up (if it hasn't already). From your experience the 888s sound fine. Think I'll try and track down a set of rear Corsas this time, that would mean all 4 would wear out together next time and I'll make a complete change then. Suspect I'm dreaming though!!

Mine is a M400 i asked this question before on another tread but i dont think
anybody really knows the answer, and like you i was thinking of asking the factory.

I got mine from http://www.abbeymotorsport.co.uk/ the R888's were £525, which was a really good price but I did buy new rubber for the scoob at the same time which may have helped the deal!

Spoke to Camgill couple of days ago. They say they have supplied to Noble owners, both 888s and 048s. The Toyo 888s are £142 front and £156 rear inc VAT and delivery. They say that they have just started selling the 'Federals' and have had good reports on other cars but no specific info for the Noble. These are the 595RS which are apparently used a lot by the Drifters (not the group - the drivers!!!)
With regard to the Corsas they suggest contacting Pirelli as apparantly the Corsas ARE still made but only imported via a couple of Dealers only. Haven't followed this up yet
Greg Think the SSRs are no longer made, hence they are selling the remaining sizes (inc our rears) cheap. If you could find a source of fronts it could be worth a go.
