My guys have just shown me the brake discs and pads on my M12 as it's up in the air for an oil change.
Does anyone know if the pads have been released by AP Racing yet, or are they still only available from Noble? They only need replacing at the front.
And what about discs? It's an all round job, so what do I need, and what about pricing?
At the moment, I don't track it, and I am a bit of a Sunday driver so budget parts are fine by me.
As per usual any help would be much appreciated.

In the meantime, has anyone else noticed a problem with a hose (possibly a fuel line) rubbing against the sump? My engineer spotted it whilst doing an oil change and it cutting into the side of the sump. Had it not been spotted there was a risk it would have either ruptured the sump or split the hose - not good. Anyway, rubbered up and I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Honestly, speaking as a vehicle tech cheap brake pads on a Noble is the same as fitting cheap tyres..........DONT!!
The're OK for your granny's 1.1 Fiesta but a 170MPH supercar no way. They will be fine at low speeds but the one time you do need to stop from speed they will overheat, fade and take you straight to the scene of the accident.
I'm upgrading mine from the standard AP set as I don't feel these are good enough, let alone some Indonesian compressed grass specials....

I'm upgrading mine from the standard AP set as I don't feel these are good enough, let alone some Indonesian compressed grass specials....

What on earth are you thinking of fitting some cheap, aftermarket brake components!
Mind you, whilst at it you could save some more money with unbranded 20W50 mineral oil at £2.99 per 5 litres, and a real wallet full by getting rid of your Corsas and fitting a set of Hankook DitchFinders instead.

If standard Noble pads are the same fitment standard as a Clio V6 then surely they must be up to the job,
Lee must have done his research and found an easily available performance pad set, No?
I use Pagids road and track myself but standard fitment is standard fitment.

I have told you i have done 4k on them, been on track as well but thats still not good enough for the Nobility. They are Mintex pads without the stupid Noble markup as far as i can see. If i get a chance tomorrow i will contact the last owner and double check.

I think that the 200-2001 Cerbs also use the same pad as well as the 3l V6 Clio. Maybe this is why you can get the uprated pads cheaper than the factory as well

Let me give you the example of my last car, Lotus Esprit Sport 350 :
Front pads from lotus : About £80 IIRC. You could put EBC somecolourorother or Hawk pads on and they would cost you less than teh standard lotus pads.
Front discs from lotus : £1600 a pair. Lotus only sell the rotors and bells as a set and no one wants the bells, only the rotors. AP make them but wont sell directly, they will only supply to lotus. So, I had a pair of disks machined and drilled to fit for a hell of a lot less than £1600.
My point is that you don't have to fit the lotus ones ( or Noble in this question's case ) and a) you can save quite a bit of money ( over a £1k in my case ) and b) they are most likey just as good as teh originals, if not a bit better.

Sorry this is where my whole arguement falls apart, haha. I also value my life and would NEVER fit or do anything substandard to my car. I like to find bargains NOT cheap substitutes.As i said i will try to find out. I am moving to DS2500 pads as i either need to skim the fronts or replace. I have already bought the rear pads and will seee how much cheaper it is going to Noble Dealers for them and finding a 3rd party supplier.
Good move. I killed a set of OEM pads after 4 laps on my first track day. Put DS2500s in and they were great...in fact the same pads are still in the car.
