As there seems to be nowhere to secure odds and ends (camera, phone, glasses, parking change, etc.) when you decamp the beastie I was thinking of investigating bolting a lockable drawer (or similar under the passengers side dash - any suggestions or ideas? Or is there maybe somewhere else to locate it?

The panel in a passenger footwell is removable, and there is some space behind it. You could put a bag 'o swag there.

I seem to get complaints from some of my passengers about the lack of foot room on the passenger side - I wonder if it is possible to move the fuses etc up a bit and reshape the panel just to give that extra space for feet - mind you having said that I have't measured up!

Why not put a lockable box on the driver's side behind the seat that way it's hidden most of the time as well.

Thanks, I like the sound of on the floor behind the drivers seat so far - but how about in the centre of the two seats above the transmission tunnel - is there anywhere there?

I recon your elbow might hit when changing gear unless it was very small.
