I am at the moment developing a single turbo conversion duratec 2.5 V6 to fit in a car that i have built, I thought I would try and pick your brains to see if what I was told about the pistons were true. Did the early 2.5 and 3.0 M12 use original pistons and that they were only uprated to forged when the M400 was developed? If this is true at what compression ratio did the 2.5 run at, also if there is a reduction were the original pistons machined to do so? Were the 2544cc version used or the later 2498cc capacity duratec used?

I would greatly appreciate any knowledge of these engines as finding out about modifying them in the uk is proving difficult.
