There's been quite a few threads on this and most of the time, this is a problem with the breather pipe popping back inside the car.

BUT If your car is proper stinking of fuel, take of the cover infront of the NS rear wheel where the fuel pump and filter are and check your fuel filter.

It looks like the seal failed in mine. It was dripping where the two halves of the filter casing join. Mine leaked so badly that it seeped along the sill void and has soaked into the carpets on the passenger side.... NIGHTMARE !

As far as I can tell this is pretty rare, but if you've got fuel smell problems it's got to be worth a check yes

As well as the above (which is a bit yikes) if you don't get it serviced at a place that follows all the factory recommendations, or service it yourself, then also check and clean out the filter every 6000 miles. If you don't you can have restricted fuel which will melt your engine.....

There was a factory bulletin to ensure filters are specifically checked at each service after I lunched an engine due to a blocked filter.

Very true, you can get them at fuelsystem(pdf) and from tweeks. Mine had the paper one in as standard.

It's 15mm ish ID hose on mine. It shouldn't matter anyway as you could unscrew the existing fittings and use them on the new filter bullet housing yes
