6 speed box

My Dealer has just rung me and asked if I want to take the 6 speed box option for my R3.( its going into build imminently apparently.) Does anybody know the performance stats over the 5 speed .( i need to know if its worth the extra 1400 notes well coins these days)

Dry sump upgrade was £600

it's not a dry sump it's a baffled sump.

Technically it's a "sump reserve"

Prices have been emailed by the factor to the owners group for all the options (gearbox/sump/lsd) - contact the factory or your dealer direct if you aren't on that list.

FYI: retro-fit price for "trackday sump upgrade" is £970 + VAT and can apparently only be done by the factory.

Hard to say really, since the six speed box isn't yet available for road use. So as far as I know, nobody has it fitted to their cars and the factory haven't given any indication of performance.
