M12 Stone chipping?
Discussion
It's GRP and it's sprayed using waterbased paints. ergo you'll get stone chips.
It's happening at about the same rate as my Lotus did - would't worry that much about it though.
I've not bothered with armour fend and have about 5 "biggies" and a small splattering of "smallies" after 7 months.

The Armourfend works quite well if it an issue for you.
How does Armourfend work - is it a clear plastic film and, if so, how do you apply it the the front spoiler area with so many curves? Is it best applied by the supplier or OK to do DIY?
amg merc, try the thread posted on Friday 11th April, actech has some experience. I have used some helicopter tape in the past to protect the vulnerable areas for track day use on my 911 RS. Stuck it on when I got there, and removed it at the end of the day. Worked a treat.
Have always thought a good semi permanent solution would be a good idea for awaiting Noble speedjet.

Has anyone got any experience of a company called "ChipsAway"?
It is a mobile service (originally developed in the USA) which is endorsed by the RAC.
Apparently, they come to your home and can repair minor damage such as stone chips on the spot. I have asked for a quote an will let you know. However, I am reluctant to let them loose on my car unless I know they have an excellent reputation.

I used them a couple of times in the past - no good on light metallic colours though (they even say so!). In general I've always heard good things about them but seeing their technique and having been a customer I can do the same job for almost nothing!
