Anyone had a problem with water leaking into the cabin when driven in the rain? Went out today in quite heavy rain but no standing water and the carpet behind the "fuse box" panel on the passenger side was soaked. Any ideas how the water is getting in? Windows etc seem fine.
PS Spray from the rear wheels sure stops anyone getting too close on the motorway!!

Sorry NG - not an idea.
Spray is not due to wheels but the "ground effect" underbody and diffuser - is quite "F1" in effect
Get the dealer to check it out at the 1k service - the seals on the door are rather 'ott' IMHO so can't think that it's coming through there, must be some other leak.

Definitely heard about this one...
There are two common water ingress issues around the fuse box area. Firstly is the heater pipes, carrying coolant. These are sometimes not tightened up properly, it's obvious as the coolant is (usually) blue.
Second is water ingress along the bolts that connect the heater enclosure to the cabin. This is normally solved by a load of silicone sealant around the affected area.
Mine has been siliconed in the appropriate area, and the coolant hoses pressure tested. No leaks, anywhere.
Either way, it's a cheap and easy fix.

david boyd said: I also have a water leak. Its comming in at the top of the windscreen on the passenger side. Also a drip from the top of the drivers side window. Its funny i have had the car since last Oct and the leaks have only just started.
A tube of silicon sealant usually works fine (had this with a previous TVR) and it comes in colours to suit the surrounding area. If it's not obvious?! - apply it to the outside (never works inside!) in the ridge between the glass frame and the body frame.
