Turbo Servicing

Hope your all well, Looking at getting my turbos on my 2.5 serviced, has or does anyone know of anywhere good to use or send them too??

mine were done at turbo technics but they're a bit of a way from you !

I spoke to them this morning, is it worth getting them upgraded or hybrid at all??

not really IMHO. Have you had a chance to have a look at them ? It may depend on whether there is any blade damage or if they're just a bit worn.
Mine were just rebuilt with all new bearings and seals and balanced to 100,000rpm.

I'd recommend TurboTechnics too..
They were really helpful when I was trying to diagnose my turbo failure.
They will also upgrade the bearings at an extremly reasonable price.

Not had a chance to have a proper look yet, My car seems to have got a little smoky sometimes and thought I'd better have them checked!

Turbo Technics are a pile of crap IMHO. Had nothing but bad off them. My old car uses the same turbo so i could recommend the FCCUK (fiat coupe club uk) for cheap prices on hybrid turbo's (Barbz at auto italia in london does a fantastic unit) or a pair of 28's if your flush If blades are okay, and only problem you had was tiny bit of smoke now and then go for seals and bearings, maybe fit a 360 deg bearing for longevity?

I've already given my opinion and suggested Turbo Dynamics. In addition they usually offer a 3 day service back to your door!

I would swap out the 270deg washer for the 360deg one. Not sure there is much extra in the cost if its being rebuilt anyway!
