Oh please.

9ff boss Jan Fatthauer hopes the GT9 will achieve 409kph (254mph) to eclipse the Veyron’s record of 407.5kph (253.2mph). We reckon it’s a good bet – in late 2004 9ff’s 911-based V400, powered by the company’s 840bhp engine, hit 387.9kph (241mph).

Top speed is a "simple factor" of air drag (rolling resistance becomes a bit irrelevant at these speeds), and that is a cubed factor.

Now, to get from 241 to 254 is 13mph increase, or 5.3% increase. That equates to 16% more power (1.053^3) or moving from 840bhp to 974bhp.

Unless they have massivly modified the aero drag, they haven't got a hope in hell. The Venyron has over 1000bhp for a reason....
