VMAX - 161!

Thought some of you might like to know that I got 161 on the radar trap at Bruntingthorpe's 1.7 mile straight (the last 1/3 was braking ) today - not bad considering I was carrying the standard wing setup!

I'll try and hit the 165 limiter next time

Top score Joust! Was it still accelerating?

Can't wait to try the 3R with the extra bhp (going for the 360bhp optional increase if it's not stupidly expensive). Does anyone have the mathematical brain to work out the VMAX when adding 50bhp to an identical car? Might be a few mph faster still as the 3R looks slightly more aerodynamic due to the fared-in front lights.

Will give it a test on the Cannonball Run in October!

It a cubed law, so unfortunatly adding 50bhp (which is a 16% increase over mine) will only increase by around 5% (Cubed root of 1.16).

So top speed on the 3R should be around 170 ((161 x 1.05) + knats tadger less Drag)

Was your still pulling at Bruntingthorpe?

Joust, nice to meet you yesterday.

What a car! The cornering capabilities were second to none, chassis was mightily impressive.

I don't know what the "Silver Porsche" was that got clocked at 161 as well - could have been Emma taking it for one of the runs.

Lovely car, and I hope it gets fixed and back on the road pronto.

Yes - but very very slowly... We had probably a 5-10mph tail wind as well that helped and it's downhill for the second half of the straight.

The drag issue gets very big above 130...
