3-pack(?) paint?
Discussion
I've been queueing for a while for my 3R, and I've just been informed that Noble can't paint my car in the colour I'd like - a rather nice blue, as available on the 2002 NSX (Long Beach Blue Pearlescent)
The factory (in SA) are not happy with the finish they've got on 3-pack paints, and so aren't offering them.
One option is to get the car over here in primer, then let a paint specialist loose on it (assuming that a paint specialist here might have better equipment or more experience of these finishes, I suppose). TVRs definitely get sold with far more outlandish paint jobs than a pearlescent on their fibreglass bodies, so I'm pretty certain it must be possible!
Anyone got any suggestions as to where to look for a bodyshop with lots of experience with GRP and pearlescent? I really don't want to just wimp out and get a standard colour

Hugo, I was looking at an M12 last week and didn't like the colour. The garage offered the option of respraying the car to my colour (keen!). They said that there wasn't an easier car to respray than a Noble. (They said) you just take off the front and back ends which can then be stripped cleanly for the new paint and you are left with the centre section and doors which are apparently very easy to paint. I did mention that I didn't want poor masking lines, etc. and was assured that it could be done perfectly.
So... looks like you could take it to any reputable body shop.

Could try these guys, they did a very nice switch paint respray on an Elise :

I'd get mine done, but the paint is cripplingly expensive (about 4k, half of which is paint).
