Bloody bulbs again

Just noticed my front nearside sidelight bulb isn't working.Anyone know what sort it is ?
Also is it easy to change. I had a nightmare trying to upgrade the headlight buld and gave up when I couldn't work out how to get the old bulb out of the housing.

h4 I think if you have a 2.5 or gto3 - lift up the clam and remove the screws that hold the unit in place, replace bulb, then spend ages trying to get it to line up again (maybe mark it's position before you unscrew it?)

You can get some pretty trick HID lighing now including H4 (they have a shroud that moves for the main beam)the HID lamps are longer lived and give out much better light to boot.
Mine are H7 4300K temperature rated and give a bright white colour. you can go higher temperature and get from blue to purple tint if that's your thing.

I think there is a stipulation that your supposed to have headlamp washers with these for strict legality.

Just had to replace mine too. Mine had higher output H4 bulbs (no adaptation needed) available at good old Halfords.
As Nathan said, if in doubt (before you unscrew things) mark the housings with a line (chalk?) to help you line them up when you put it back together. I am rubbish at car DIY but even I managed it - so you should be fine

Have you fitted these type, is there a big difference? my lights are crap and looking to do some thing with them soon. Do they still dim when the a/c cuts in?

I fitted an HID conversion to my m400.
No more yellow 10 meters worth of light.
Can now drive at moderate pace at night without probs.
A bit of a pain to re-align the beams but well worth the effort.

Do you have to cut the back of the light off to align the beams? One of the things I know mine will fail the MOT on is headlight alignment.

I think its different on the new fangled 3Rs mate
much simpler on the good old 2.5

It wasn't the bulb just a dodgy connection. Whilst i had it all in bits upgraded to phillips visionplus.
Can't wait for it to get dark now

Had a similar thing with an indicator.

Started flashing twice as fast and rear one was off.

By the time I got home to start trying to fix it, it worked again.
