Noble MOT test?

R77 will be three years old soon and, apart from baking a cake, I must also buy him (yes he is a boy - as testified by his two large hairy Garrat Cahoonas!) his first MOT certificate.
Is there anything I should be aware at a 'Joe Public' MOT testing centre and/or should I only head for a Noble-friendly shop?

I took mine to my normal place, and didn't have any probs other than having to reverse onto the lift as the ramp at the front entrance was too high (the MR2 is very close so didn't stand a hope with the noble). I know the bloke well though and he showed me where he was going to lift before doing it, and checked I was happy. Might be worth making sure you know where all the jack points are and showing them.
I didn't have any problems with the MOT on my 3R a couple of months ago either, emissions were well within tolerences.
Only thing I found strange was the tester said that because of the low ground clearance he didn't want to test the brakes on the machine, so I had to drive him down the road and do an emergency stop!
Don't know if this was true about the machine or he just wanted a ride in the car, but he passed it anyway so I didn't mind.

My 2nd MOT is coming up shortly. Took it to good ole' Rowley, proprietor and sole mechanic at Croxton Garage, who raved over the build quality compared to a TVR that he had recently worked on. I had warmed up the motor prior to emissions test and the car passed with no problems. His standard kit couldn't test the efficiency of the brakes so had to take him for a run with his trusty black box in his lap. Amid the cries of 
'fECKIN hULL' and 
'fUR cHRIES aCHE' his black box confirmed that I could stop in the required distance, whilst travelling at a very reasonable speed. He MOT'd another local Noble shortly after and again no problems. In short, it wasn't the big worry that I imagined it might be for a performance car.

I used to take my Esprit to the dealer who services it ( they sub it out but the place does lotus/tvr/nobel etc )because I found other MOT stations got a bit excited, and opening the bonnet was a tad tricky for them to check the spare, which it does not have (like the Noble). I will be doing the same with the Nob. Okay, I have to drive 20 miles but I think it's worth the extra effort.

I was working on a 3-year gap between MOTs - first at year 3 then second at year 6 - brain fade for sure (must be in great need of a blast in the beastie)!
I used Kerridges two years running for the MOT. Main advantage is that as a Noble service centre they can sort most failure issues whereas a regular non-Noble MOT place may have to send you away while they order bits in, which is hassle and then you may get an extra MOT retest cost too.

I'll get it MOT'd during the next service which will be at an experience Noble dealer.
