Right Chaps !
I've been talking to the Factory about our problems with numbers on the trackdays.
Lee wants to bring the mule and a 400 along with himself and Peter Boutwood(the PR guy) to whatever we sort out...
so..
I'm thinking Saturday trackday followed by social evening do at a Hotel somewhere with a meal and a few drinkies. Then maybe even a Sunday run out with lunch somewhere.
It's very difficult to organise venue exclusivity because of the cost involved and weekend date are very rare in the summer 'cos of the racing going on. We really need to block book an already running trackday. So how much do we want to pay ? The prices do go up as the year goes on. For example the 14th April at Bedford with Easytrack is £159 if we were to target the May bank holiday we're probably talking circa £200-£250.
Book-a-track will put a day on for us but they've only really got 20th May at Rockingham (intl) or 13th October at Donny. Both at £195. Not sure how we all feel about Rockingham?, although the international circuit does have quite a bit to it.
Am waiting for a call back from a couple of others

Owen -good on you, mate. Donny on Oct 13th would be my choice (national, I hope). Everyone back from summer hols, so no excuses and track should still be plenty warm enough for Corsas to get some grip. Brilliant circuit for Nobles.
Owen, thanks for trying to keep the momentum going. Doing a block booking, makes good sense and it'll be encouraging to see the factory in attendance.
Bookatrack have always had good organisation and above average drivers in my experience; my vote is for Donington.
Date-wise I can't commit as I first have to sort out my race season then fit other stuff around it (sorry!). I should get some ideas about dates next month.

I won't track the car, although if it's the october date then I may have already done a airfield day and have the confidence to get on the track.
I'm deffo up for the social side of it all on any date.
Just as another thought, there are a lot of new owners and people not redy to track their cars, so how about training days (Obviously the guys who know what they are doing might not be interested).
Motor sport event do academy days (I've done them) they are great fun only about £99, they may do exclusive days.

I would highly recommend Andy Walsh for driver training, I am sure if you gave him a call he would sort out a noble only day. Only down side to the airfield days is that the concrete and all the sideways stuff can kill tyres rather rapidly.
From my point of view, a good meet would be in the summer months when we can hopefully have some good weather and a chance to stand around and chat without getting cold and wet. Surley most people who own Nobles and want to track them are not worried about paying £50-£100 more for a track day in the warm and (hopefully) dry.
I like the idea of a Sat track day and a overnight hotel meet and a Sunday hoon, that way you will cater to most people and have the greatest chance of getting a decent group together.

I have also done a walshy day when I had an elise but I prefered the Motorsport events days. Only because I did andy's in a party of two and it was all serious (I did learn alot but at a greater cost). However if he did something with a load of Nobles then the fun is back in with the social banter.

Any day sorted out would have driver training available. All the companies i spoke to have instructors available for sessions. I always have at least one session as i'm crap 
!
These days are really pretty social and although there are mixed abilities the advanced guys are very good at not pressuring those with less experience. I did my first track driving on a Noble day and people going past you really isn't as bad as you think ! (i'm used to it!!!) I had a great time and haven't looked back since !
Real serious track drivers do their driving at no novice days so no one needs to worry about being in the way
