Help - Interior and Rear Lights

Hi guys,

Just driving along earlier on this evening to go meet some friends when all of a sudden then interior dash lights all cut out. I got out to check the rest of the car to see that the rear lights were out too.

Front beams seem fine. Indicators and brake lights are fine.

Has anyone else had this issue before? Is it likely to be a fuse?

Any ideas would be good.

If you go to passenger side foot well, and pull the kick board down.

You will find the main fuse box.

Then check you fuse’s there.

I laughed at your retort initially but, on reflection, things in a Noble are not always located in obvious places and some people are new to the marque hence, I suspect, the question!

Well i figured I'd ask as i'm not fully aware of all the cars little querks.

Fuse is the obvious one which i assumed it was but then it could have been something completely differnt in a known issue.

While you're in there check the heater pipes above the fuse box for leaks. Fuses rarely blow for no reason.

Not such a daft question.

I set off one evening with no dashboard light (don't know if the rear lights were woking) A mile or two down the road they came on no problem since, so the M12 does have quirks... The very thing I grinned about at time!

Probably a loose / corroded fuse - the bumps wiggled it back into place

Its priceless feedback and market research for them. They'd be mad to ignor it IMO.

Nice that they do, but some feedback would make it feel like a family again.

Dilema continues.

On checking the fuse box i find a 7.5A and 10A in the L/R and R/R fuse slots. These are meant to both be 7.5A. Both were blown so i replaced them with the correct fuese as per manual.

The fuses lasted about 5 seconds before they blew again. Tried another set and same thing happened.

Now its been fine for weeks. This only happened a last week i think when all the bad weather started.

I've checked the heater pipes and they are fine and the fuse box is dry.

Does anyone know what could be causing these fuses to blow???

A good place to start are the connector blocks for the clams.

They tend to get water logged, and cause all kinds of strange problems.

If all the copper conectors are green, then they will need to be scrubbed and reconnected.
