Do you have a spare short tube to temp replace the BOV one wile it's being fixed that I could borrow?

Regret I'm not going back to the workshop but a section of exhaust pipe would do the trick (clean the inside of it first!) - Your local exhaust fitters will have a skip that they won't mind you rummaging through. Get the right diameter - 2.5 inch from memory - and cut to a usable length.
