I had this problem with mine, the only way to remove it was to poke a long large screwdriver through it and turn anticlockwise. It won't matter that you'll damage the oil filter as your changing it anyway.

Thats what I've been doing it's hard work. It looks like some thread lock has been used. Would heating this up help.

I had the piston/spring out before I tried to heat it. But I still can't get it apart. I can't get it back in either.
I bent 1 screwdriver (cheap one) and snapped the handle on one of my good ones.
I have wedged the seal ring incase there is a leak through the thread and put it back and it drives fine.
I have emailed Forge to see what they say.

I did indeed.
Could not get the damn thing unscrewed. Popped it in a box and it returned 48 hours later fully serviced. Very good service.
I have a feeling they are soon going to hate noble owners though.
