Oh dear - having read about these cars in various magazines and read the posts on this forum, I decided I'd take a trip down to Mole Valley to have a look....

Utterly blown away. Yes it's quick, but I've driven plenty of quick cars. The complete togetherness of the car was the high point - both the compliance of the suspension, the sharpness of the handling, and the sheer ease of use of all the major controls.

The engine is hilarious! It's a complete boy racer, and don't flame me for this - just playing with the turbos is awesome entertainment. Just like those young guys in RS Turbos (and I guess Scoobies these days as well) with comedy blow-off valves.... but for some reason it simply doesn't seem immature in the Noble

So, complete loss of self control, I'm picking it up next week

Any things I need to know apart from what I'd have been told by the dealer? I'm thinking 'top tips' to prevent any aggro.

Pop over to www.lotus-elise.org.uk/noble and you'll find the low down on my car in the diary section - covers most of the obvious things.

Have fun!

Which car did you buy when you were at Mole Valley yesterday? The Mallard Green 3L or the Blue 2.5L?

Join the owners club mailing list for a mine of information and a place to ask questions. I think it is nobleownersclub.net.

Congratulations

Tim - the blue 2.5 litre car, nicely run in for me I'm not massively bothered about colour myself but the blue looked fantastic, so probably better on resale if the worst came to the worst. The 2.5 didn't seem short on power compared to the 3.0 either

Nathan - every time I try nobleownersclub.net I get the default Apache installation page. Either I'm looking in the wrong place or something's duff with the domain.

This week is going to drag.... hopefully pick it up on Saturday...

just out of curiosity how much did you pay for the car?
