Rear spoiler fade
Discussion
My carbon spoiler is beginning to fade, asusming down to the sun - I ahve tried back to black, wax and all sorts but nothing really works - the best is shoe polish but not getting the results I'm looking for
Has anyone acomplished this? I now understand why I have seen quite a few colour-coded but I didn't reall want to do this, rather fancy getting it back on the underside.
The problem I have is that water has stained the exposed topside a lighter colour andI'm worried that simply lacquering the top would keep the stains there? What about painting it black and then lacquer?
How have you guys got on with this problem I'm assuming we all had

I used to use oil, but found that when it rained the oil would run off and stain the paintwork. I had my local body shop try to laquer it but it pitted and looked terrible so went down the colour coded route in the end!! I think the answer would be to rub it down a bit and apply some clearcoat resin this would re-seal the carbon and you could then laquer over it!!

I,ve never noticed it staining the car, however I do find the odd small fly attached to the spoiler
