Rear Spoiler Question

Are these hard to rip off? Had a Scooby a few years back and heard an almighty noise outside and some bugger had ripped the dam spoiler off. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar tale with the noble? Don't fancy seeing some chavved out mondeo driving down the street with a huge whale tail on the back belonging to me.
