Warranties and servicing ?

Hi chaps, sorry this question has probably been done to death but really after up to date info on todays costs.

I'm thinking again of moving into Nobledom. Car would be a M12 GTO 3 circa 2003. Are warranties a must for this model ? If so what sort of cost ? Had a pretty resonable quote £750 (35 male, good post code, 10yrs protected ncd, garaged and trackered.) Also what the service intervals and apporx costs for these beuties ?

Servicing is yearly/6000 miles. Cost is around the £1,000 mark!!

Cheers for that, must be an indepth service then for £1k (diff's,gearbox etc) but worth it i'm sure. Pretty cheap compared to cars of similar performance.

Is a warranty a must or are the cars quite strong (spose it depends on its history to a degree)with reasonable parts on parts if they go (being a bit of a car made up from other manufacterers parts ?)

Pace or forge will make you a replacement for a lot less money....lot better qualtiy as well.

I have a warranty with warranty works. They seem the better of a rather disappointing batch of 3rd party warranties. I have made a claim and without saying too much (as I am in the process of getting some money off them), they are not very forthcoming with the money even despite saying they will cover certain part failures in their T+Cs.

If the car you buy has problems...which you may not be aware of at the time of purchase, you may be in for a very large bill (as I discovered with mine). From this perspective, it may be best to buy from a dealer as they will have to sort it out for free.

Be vary careful with warranties, I have not managed to claim a single thing under mine yet . Many have a wear and tear clause in them and you can pretty much apply that to anything.

jUST MAKE SURE YOU GET ONE INSPECTED AND WITH ALL THE ESSENTIAL MODS AND YOU WILL BE LAUGHING (caps off). You will still have the expense of services but breakdowns should be few and far between. As said above most warranties are for wear and tear, how do you prove a diff for example is mechanically broken and not worn.
