Fuel Pump Upgrade?

Hi fellas,

What with there being a lot of talk about fuel pumps recently I have decided to upgrade mine (GTO-3). What I would like to know is what one should I get? Cost of the part? And how easy is it to fit or should I have it done by one of the firms?

BEWARE !! - the problem is not so much with the pump as with the wiring, if you upgrade, make sure you get some beefier copper in there too

Owen, doesn't the upgrade pumps have beefed up wires?

I think the Noblemods one does. Other companies also make beefed up looms for the pump. If you don't intend to up the bhp of your 3/3R then you only really need to change the loom to be on the safe side.

I had mine done yesterday and its not a hard job but is very fidly as the wires go from side to side of the car behind the bulkhead and are difficult to strap along so as not to melt them. You need to get under the car.
