Can anyone advise if the Chassis Number is stamped anywhere else other than the plate on the Engine Bay Frame. Have just found out that the number on my frameplate does'nt match the reg doc, which does'nt match the dealers reciept / service book / tracker docs blah, blah, blah.

Basically each time the car has been left with officialdom they have mistaken a single letter "I" for a number "1" on several occasions. Some have quoted the "I" some have quoted a "1".

Need to double check the chassis number on the car first of all then start getting it all to match... Nightmare !

When you open the drivers door, peer into the bodywork door gap near the hinge and you will see a little disc with R ??? stamped on it.....I seem to remember.

Correct, plus same stamped into lower panel INSIDE base of doors - need to remove speaker and them look down.

Rob. Is the full chassis number here before I start pulling the speaker out.

No, sorry only the build number stamp (eg: RXXX) - Actually, I don't know if there is a full VIN number located anywhere else on the car apart from the engine bay plate.

All the VINs for each model are the same apart from the chassis number at the end.

The last three digits from memory are the chassis number.
