Popped into Gordon Lamb's in Sheffield on Monday to have a look. Came out thinking I must have one. Probably the 3R.

Been looking around for a company that offers a decent PCP deal to finance. Had presumed that I would find something along the lines of 10K deposit, low monthly payments, and a large "balloon" at the end. No such luck. Largest final payment on offer seems to be 14K.

This raises a couple of questions.
1). Anyone know of a finance company that understands what a Noble is? Most seem to not have heard of it.
2). What do you think will be the value of a 3R after 3 years, say 12K miles pa?

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Mark

They way the 2.5 litres are going at the moment price wise (less than a year old ) I would hazard a guess at low thirties with 30 k on the Clock - maybe even less.

If the only way you can fincnace the car is with a very high balloon, I would venture to suggest that you can't afford it. I'd go for the lowest balloon you can. I speak from the experience of owning a Griff 500 that was worth less than the balloon at the end of the term.

Ring Richard Beuamont direct on his mobile from TVr Financial Services, they will do all sportscars and quote decent balloons, he's a decent chap and knows his cars, we use him for most of our Financing on TVR's

his mobile number is 07970516201 - tell him James Agger told him to pull his rates down, his balloons up and his finger out!

Good luck -= if it saves you money then it's well worth a call

Thanks for the replies.

I had a similar value in mind (around 30K) for value after 3 years, with 30K on the clock. I am going back to the garage on Saturday morning, all being well, and will see what Gordon Lamb can offer.

Alex, I guess it does seem that way at first sight (not being able to afford it, that is), but to be fair, this isn't the case. I could raise the funds pretty quickly if needed, it just shocked me a little to find a very pessimistic view with regard to residuals from the finance companies that have responded to my requests so far.

I am opting out of the company car scheme, you see, and have a good chunk of "extra" monthly income to throw at this, and thought that PCP may be the way to go - deposit, reasonable monthly, and a large "take it or leave it" balloon at the end, giving me ultimate flexibility.

Mark

PS. James, just seen your reply also - will give them a try. Thanks.

I've got mine through Black Horse finance. Their interest is calculated daily.

Spencer at Mole got me a 44% ballon which I thought was reasonable (along with a 6.5% APR.....)

All through First National (who also do the X5 )

Try www.in-drive.co.uk

I have my Elise with them with full maintenance. I pay less per month than I would for just the car from a dealer. Im sure they messed up their figures though (mine was the 1st S2 they had done) as the rates have ow gone up by £180 a month for the same deal.

Anyway, they dont have the Noble on the website, but will quote on nearly any car a dealer can give them a price for. You may get luck and they might use the p/per mile figure from a Mondeo ST220! (and Im not joking!)

cheers
