My dealer called a couple of days ago to finalise spec
and I've asked them to find out if I can have TVR Rosso pearlescent red.
Has anyone here enquired about or had delivery of a non standard colour? If they can't I'll specify Indigo blue and blue alcantara.

There have been lots of non-standard coloured M12's go out, the only rejection I heard about, now I'm not sure if they couldn't or maybe wouldn't do was one of the TVR chameleon paint jobs. That's was a while back now so they may have done it now.

Indigo blue, good colour choice though.

Build 10? What model are you getting. Seems a strange number for the GTO-3, yet too early for the 3R...

Billywiz - Which dealer are you getting your 3R from?

I also ordered a 3R at the motorshow.

John Hammond at the factory has said that after the dealer cars, there were also 13 GTO orders that are now 3R's. The 3R builds will start in July, and the motorshow orders will probably go through the factory around August...

Please tell you have more up to date info, as it hurts to wait that long!

As of the end of January, when I met Lee at the factory, the 3R were supposed to start coming out begining of June.
I have number R32 (also ordered on the first open day of the show...) and he promised it would be delivered before the end of July.
He also confirmed that the first cars are demonstrators for several dealers.

goodlife, what's your build number ?
billywiz, did you get any info on the new 6-speed gearbox which is meant to make its debut on the 3Rs ?

I don't have a build number, but have been told I'm in the 'first batch from the motorshow'.

As well as August delivery, John also mentioned that:
1. If Ford release a 6 speed gearbox to us, before your M12 GTO-3R goes into build, then we will try and make it an option to all 3R customers, once we know the extra cost and availability.

2. The Dry sump will only be available on the M12 GTO-3T when it comes out.

3. Turbo Off Switch - if such a device proves practical, we will consider making it an option on the 3R.

Looks like they change their mind quite rapidly...
End of january, the turbo on/off switch, the 6-speed gearbox and the quaife LSD (or up-rated differential) were all going to be standard feature (as soon as available of course) of the 3Rs....
If this is not the case anymore than the price difference with the std GTO seems rather out of proportion for leather and sound-proofing !!!

When i was at the factory i did speak to any one i could inc lee noble. there was talk of the 6 speed box on the r,s but only if there source will supply them quick enough, so maybe the early r,s will have a 5 speed, but i am sure that the dealers would also like to have there r,s 6 speed boxes and will ring lee and in turn hopefully might get these boxes in. see wot i mean. Pressure! The turbo off buttons are apparently being put on all r,s in south Africa then soft ware to be done over here. Any way the cars are so flexible, with 6 speed you will be short shifting everywhere.

4 a week !!!!!!!!!!?????? Are they still peddling that story? The last I heard the local DVLA testing center had still told them they couldn't handle any more than 2. And this assumes that Noble don't run out of parts - which does happen all too often.

They had just taken 3 to the test center when I went to see mine at the factory.

With a factory built car, I can see no reason why they couldn't test a resonable number at the same time...

If they can't I'll specify Indigo blue and blue alcantara.

Indigo blue is the colour of mine (lots of pictures in my profile/web site if you haven't checked out).

I personally think that Azure is too "light" for the car - the ones I have seen seem to be lighter than the Azure of my Lotus.
