Hi folks,

I had mine serviced by the factory on Monday, and they've re-mapped the ECU. Makes the car initially feel slower as the turbos no longer kick in with a tiny bit of throttle, but altogether a little safer and easier to drive. You can now pootle around without even using any noticeable turbo if you like. Beforehand it was like 1/2" of throttle and all hell breaks loose.

Is the remapping supposed to cure the glitch just after 3k rpm?

I'm not sure I would like the turbos coming in later since it could end up being more of a surprise just when you don't need one (ie, mid corner). Whilst they're online at quite low engine speeds I find them, on the whole, a bit more predictable.

I don't know about that glitch you refer to. It's not that the turbos come in later in the revs, just further down in the throttle travel, so all still quite predictable and controllable.

The "glitch" is more noticeable when cold and only when you're heavy with the right foot, at about 3,250 rpm the engine almost seem to cut out for a split second. It only happens every so often and the first time it happened to me it gave me quite a start.

I know that some manufacturers deliberately "lean-off" the mixture at about this point in the rev range to allow the car to pass through emmission tests. I don't know if this is the case for SVA type vehicles though.

Now you mention it, I have had this a couple of times, normally when engine is slightly cold still. I've only driven it home since the service, so can't say whether it's gone or not - will know in a few weeks time.

I've been whinging 'bout this for a while now. I felt the ECU could be tweeked but no one seemed to have the same experience.

Will have to wait now till I return from Malaysia to get the ECU upgrade

My driver's seat has movement. Its not the floor mountings but it seems to be the seat fixings into the runners.
