thinking of buying noble to replace cerbera

Hi, im thinking of buying a noble to replace cerbera!? any ex cerbera owners in here? whats the verdict?

any feed back would be great as not to sure what to do at the mo!

A very good pal of mine has a 4.5 cerbera and we drove each others cars back to back quite a bit at brunters recently. They are completely different cars. There's no doubt the Noble is 'nippier' and much more go cart like. You must remember though if you use that cavernous boot on the cerb a lot you'll really miss it !

which model have you got in mind ?

hum good point re: boot golf clubs go in there!!! i think its the m12 3litre version! im planning to have a look round for local dealers at weekend! or any garages with some for sale. im based in rayleigh / hullbridge in essex! so closest big towns are chelmsford or southend i guess.

also mine is a newer model cerbera! head light conversion etc! cant make my mind up to what is better looking cerbera or noble lol! oh well! i like a pretty car see, more than performance.

Dan...imagine driving a 1958 Bently quite quickly, long gears and all wollowy and understeery. That's what it feels like when you get out of a Noble and get in a Cerby. HTH.

Go for the Noble... I would never go back to a Cerbie now.

Mind you, come to think of it, I hated my Cerbera.......

Really depends what you're looking for. I miss the Cerbera for practicality!! Which is to say you can actually get stuff in it. The Noble drives very well but if you want a 'pretty' car and to cart your golf clubs around I'm not sure you'll find the Noble a good choice after the initial honeymoon period.

Also, I found the AJP8 one hell of a charasmatic engine. Can't say the same of the Noble lump although it is very effective at pushing the car up the road with enormous grunt.

I guess a lot depends on what you want from the car. If you want a brilliant driving toy the Noble is well worth a look. If you're the sort of person who wants a multi purpose driving toy then you may find the Noble's short comings frustrating.

Surely you can fit clubs on the parcel shelf in a squishy golf club bag????

Or just throw the passenger out and put them in the footwell

Boot, no. Luggage space, yes. It's amazing how much stuff you can get in it...it just needs packing properly.

That's behind the seats then, nothing in the 'front'?

You get 6 bags. 2 'suitcase' size that sit behind the seats, two 'large rucksack' size that sit on the parcel shelf, and two more of the same that sit underath your legs.

Any dealer should have a car with the luggage set in for you to look at. You can fit two weeks of clothes, including formal evening wear, for two people in them.
