Advice please

[noble girl]

The Noble is in need of some minor touching up of scratches etc. Anyone know of a good paintshop in the Surrey/ SE area as not enough to claim on insurance so I will be paying! In addition has anyone had front clam resprayed to get rid of the inevitable stone chips? Any idea of price?

PS If I need it, anyone know of the colour code for Titanium?

I had my full front clam sprayed, it was £1500 but I did get a price as low as £750. I went for getting it rubbed back and colour matched undercoat, so when it chips it doesn't look so much like a Domino.

Ewelme Coachworks are very experienced with plastic/glass fibre cars and did an excellent job when someone drove into the back of my parked TVR. They are based, quite unsurprisingly, in Ewelme - a small village just off the A4074 between Oxford and Reading.

Complete front clam respray £1000-£1500 depending on colour and preparation required. A lesser 'nose job' from the Noble badge down would be less but it is difficult to blend in if you go any higher up the clam - an all or nothing decision!

I had my front clam done by a chap in east london who has done quite a few of my previous cars ( alfa gtv has a fibreglass bonnent). He dosent charge "expensive car tax" so it came at around £300. Very pleased with result.

I have a Titanium Noble and was told that the colour is actually a Lamborghini paint, but I didn't get a code - sorry.

Paint code for titanium is LAM210600 and is a PPG colour for Lamborghini and known as 'titanio' It can be cross referenced with other paint schemes.

Yea? Well Azure blue is actually a McClaren colour, and they use it on the space shuttle and loads of other really really cool things too.

Many thanks for responses. Now I have the correct paint all I need now is the Lambo to go with it. Second thoughts don't want to go downmarket especially as going to see the M15 on Saturday!!

No personal experience of them, but I've heard good things about Motor Wheel Service International Ltd on Langley Business Park, Langley, Berks SL3 6EP

How about Specialised Paintwork (www.specialisedpaintwork.com/home.htm ), a short trip down the M4 from Datchet.

They are highly recommended in the Lotus fraternity.
