But maybe you should take the opportunity to replace the bulbs with some of those Philips Blue Vision (or equivalent) bulbs?

Definatly replace it with a super bright one, and raise up the beam level a touch while you're at it. Makes a big difference at night.

Kevin, which ones 'cause IMHO a proper Xenon system includes lot's of expensive electrics (ballast, etc.) and not just a bulb change?

I'm not the right person to answer the question of right headlight model. There's a good chance the US model is different from the European one (as you can see from the thread on NobleForums). You need to pick the one with the right bulb type. The US one uses H9 bulbs, and from what people here have said, the European ones are H7.

I found the best place to mount the ballast is near the radiator. You just need to make sure the wiring between the ballast and the bulb is long enough (most are not). Contact the company you want to buy from and ask them if they have longer wiring, or you can do it yourself.

Doing the high beams is probably a waste of money, unless you use them a LOT.

The 50w version is noticably brighter than the 35w. A good 35w kit puts out about 3300 lumens at 4300-5000k. A good 50w kit puts out about 5200 lumens. When you go up past 5000k, the light gets bluer and LESS bright. For instance, at 6000k at 35w, you're down to 3100 lumens.

The stock bulbs in the US are 65w halogens that put out about 2100 lumens. H7 bulbs are generally 55w and put out 1500 lumens.
