Washer upgrade
and most importantly ECU changed from the Magneti Marelli one
Black wheels done by the factory

is there meant to be a fan upgrade also?? sure i read that somewhere. no time to search at the moment. have sent another e mail now anyway. original clutch/gearbox.. mmm how long do the clutches last? now thats a fair major task, but sure if all origanal parts cant have been driven too hard...
The clutch was what put me off at the time, 45k is alot for a car with that sort of power. Gearbox just worried me as I know a few people have had to have new at sub 20k.
He did say it shows that the car has had an easy life.
IIRC he mentioned it had been on one trackday, but the weather was very bad so did not even get much stick then.

yep certainly the most worrying point on it TBH. altho with the cheap price i guess it could be accounted for. anyone car to enlighten me on the cost of the gearbox/clutch change? maybe even go six speed route..
My car is in the process of having the six speed conversion. The 5 speed gearbox isnt the weak point, it is the diff. However mine is running more power than standard( a LOT more than a 2.5) I know Plans will do a new 5 speed box with the lsd for around the £3K mark( with new clutch). Six speed upgrade at the factory will cost at least double that!!

New 5 speed box and diff about 700 . It the labour thats expensive . Probably 16-20 hours at whatever you can get it for. I think the factory charge £75 per hour Faulks about £50 so your looking at 2k minimum ish
Having said that you may as well go for a 6 speed and lsd while you have it in bits

Hang on, whats all this with clutches now?
Only clutch I have ever had let go was in a 1.1 fiesta! had a 928S4 with 110K that was still on it's original clutch, my last Evo5 had done over 60K and clutch was still spot on.
Fair do's you don't want a clutch going when you've just bought it but nothing to say if it's had a new one that it will last either?
So what is the secret to a clutch lasting? Is it down to luck/driving style/servicing or a bit of all of these??
22K is ridiculously cheap for a car like this either way, course it could be a service is due, tyres needed etc etc which could bump up the costs which would make 25 for one totally fettled by the factory throughout it's life and just serviced stupidly cheap as well.......he said with no vested interest........cough...I'll get me coat

Im awaiting an email regarding last service/tyres etc. altho just had a private message elsewhere regarding nobles. will post a copy up in a minute...
hopefully he had a bad experience...Hi M8, just read your post.
Think long & hard before getting a Noble to replace a Subaru. (Main issues imho reliability & the fact that 3/4k after each 6k service they don't perform properly until serviced again! Min. service cost circa £800 up to, well, the sky is the limit). If running fine it could possibly be the fastest standard car there is (wave goodbye to TVR's, Lambo's etc etc) but 'if' is an awfully big word in this context.
Whatever you do, do not get one with over 10k miles (almost unsaleable) or with any performance mods.
I have been there, done that & back to scooby (Mind you that's crap as well!).
Best regards
Ste (Who really wishes he bought a Skyline R34 GTR).

I went from an EVO6 to a M400 (via a grp N Escort Cossie, and Westfield), and have had no problems whatsoever. £700 service is the only cost I've had in 18 months. Need new tyres soon, but that's no earlier than the EVO would have needed. Got to say that it's a fntastic car that doesn't get used enough.

Ad doesn't do the car any favours though.
maybe go have a look the weekend if i get time away from packing the house up for the move...
